The garden is glorious, fireworks sizzled in the neighborhood and there are new places to explore in the Twin Cities. We are cautious (Covid) but hopeful… Garden! Pop!! Explore: Malcolm Yards is a new development in Minneapolis near the University of Minnesota. The Yards are also adjacent to O’Shaughnessy Distilling Company.

Kath and I both lost our fathers many years ago. We think of them most every day, but especially today, a lovely cool day in June. We are in the garden; a space we both learned about and grew to love because of our Dads. Thank you. Miss you.

We decided it was time to take a break from all the insanity and Afton State Park Minnesota was a perfect respite. Fall is definitely in the air! The park is gorgeous with plenty of places to hike and birdwatch- also spend a night or two in a cabin, tent or yurt. If apple desserts…

Flower close ups! Is this the garden’s last hurrah?

A fierce thunderstorm swept through in the early hours and I still hear some rumblings of thunder. The little wildflower garden perseveres despite the downpour! On Saturday, a hummingbird stopped by to feed on the red blossoms 🌞.
