  • Foster Kittens 2.0

    September 4, 2016

A new family of kittens arrived next door today; happy to be nurtured until ready to be adopted. Meet Charlotte and Henry. Their two siblings were not quite ready for a photo meet and greet.

  • Kenny & Weekly Photo Challenges

    July 27, 2016

In looking back at recent weekly photo challenges, I noted ‘cherry on top‘ and ‘details‘. This pic of Kenny has a ‘cherry’ (I love the light that floats high above his head) and the ‘details’ of the windows that open up to the ruins and sky; the rough stone, and the thoughtful pose of a young man considering his future…

  • City House & Red River Kitchen

    July 25, 2016

Finally! The sack house  on the Mississippi will be more than an historic footnote! The Saint Paul Municipal Grain Terminal, built between 1927 and 1931, represents what was part of St. Paul, MN’s great history as a river port city. Happily, the structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. Now referred to as City House, it abuts the Sam Morgan Bike Trail and will soon be host to the Red River Kitchen, an offshoot of the popular Republic Bar in Minneapolis. Fingers crossed, it looks like the food truck doors open August 1.

  • Weekly Photo Challenge: Admiration

    April 30, 2016

I admire anyone who can ride a horse…I think they are such beautiful creatures but I have always felt a bit timid around them. I think this photo shows great mutual admiration  between Shooter (the horse) and Dana (the woman who loves to ride him).
