Mark was-Â is-Â my big brother. This photo was taken at North Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate NY in 1956.
Mark died of cancer in 1996.
I LOVE my brother. Even when he delighted in torture-teasing me. I think of him every day :).
His son David has his Dad’s eyes- and his sense of humor. I LOVE my nephew too..
David, now 30, lives and works in LA. I took this picture of him. Isn’t he gorgeous?!
I wanted to revisit “illumination” by sharing a photograph I took of Sister Kathleen Spencer and Toua, a former colleague. Sister Kathleen is active in social justice and community action work in the Twin Cities, Minnesota.
Seen from across the waters of the frozen Mississippi…the old plant lingers, a lonely beacon. Forgotten by most, sheltering some.
