Greetings of the season to all our dear WP friends. Wishing you all a peaceful, healthy holiday and New Year.

We got outside for a bit to check on the neighborhood. The Mississippi River is running high and fast and the car wash is closed (much to the dismay of the gentleman pictured in this post) but people are out and about.
Thank you for sharing your joy with me today…
Most of these pics are from yesterday :). The oatmeal/ cup I snuck in- part of a grant project…

I love working with kids on photo projects. They are SO candid and utterly uninhibited. Poor teachers…I leave a trail of chaos behind me. Today I visited a small Catholic school in the neighborhood. The kids are working on a special project to support Fresh Grounds, a non-profit coffee-house and social venture that is a great place to hang out and is also a job training site for at-risk youth.
Here are a couple of my favs (oh, by the way- the Archdiocese is closing this school..too much money dontcha’ know. Of course they have lots of dollars for other battles, but I won’t sully the post with politics.) If anyone HAS a million to donate- that is what it will take to keep the school open, and these kindergarteners won’t be scattered about.
