Photos from home in a pandemic

Life is terribly odd right now as most everyone around the world is aware. What follows are a few photographs of life at home in St. Paul, MN, as we adjust.

Another summer; another State Fair photo entry

Every year the MN State Fair Fine Arts competition presents a unique opportunity to be part of the Fair experience- and fail. LOL. It’s OK. Really. This year, I experimented with manual settings on the camera and black and white shots only- and submitted one of those photos. I have been inspired by the amazing work of Jef Bonifacino .

Here are some interesting stats from the 2017 competition: something like 2,025 entries were submitted from across all mediums and only 14% actually made it in to the exhibition! Yep. It’s a tough gig.

Anyway- here is my entry: “Ghost Flowers”- soon to be exhibited in my living room!!!
