  • Forward! Charge! Full speed ahead! This is my interpretation. Life is a delightful whirlwind. Something new everyday. Yesterday ‘rock pictures’…today the lovely Katielyn and I met up again for a photo shoot at a local cafe. As she moves forward, so do I.

Thank you Katielyn, for being such a wonderful friend and model!

  • Just for giggles I googled, ‘the road to 100 blog followers’.

Here is what I learned: it might take quite a while to get there.

Apparently a niche is important (I am thematically challenged). Today I spent time photographing a pile of smooth Lake Superior rocks. Yes, the pictures are included below. Also, I am not a mom, well- not a mom to a human. I do not do fashion and I am not such a great cook. So I will just keep plodding along with odd bits here and there, cat photos, portraits, a Minnesota vista now and again, and rocks.

Best of all, I will continue to enjoy and admire the people and critters I have met in the blogosphere!

Red dot to red dot. Then the satisfying ‘click’ of the threads meshing; lens to body.

The tax return was spent. All gone. A clandestine trip to the camera store under cloak of suburban mall traffic over, I was now free to play. Of course I began by stalking the cats. Then the mailman. Downloading the newest photos, tiny beads of sweat pricked at my hairline. A voice reverberated through my head. “Don’t go out and spend all that tax return,” it intoned. Shaking it off I continued to work. Hours passed. I heard the car door slam, and immediately looked at the clock. I began to race about my work space. Packing materials flew everywhere, the camera and lens safely tucked away. Faster, faster!! You can explain this all tomorrow.

The front door opened. The entrance. A quick glimpse at the screen. “Wow, nice shot of Dylan!”

    The end.

post script: we file returns individually 😉

  • yo mama“Yo mama! What kind of lens is THAT?!” asked Dylan. Bagheera sniffed, “couldn’t much care. I am on the porch basking in the sun. Let her do what she wants…”
