We got outside for a bit to check on the neighborhood. The Mississippi River is running high and fast and the car wash is closed (much to the dismay of the gentleman pictured in this post) but people are out and about.
We have had a wonderful week enjoying local sights and tastes! It was a perfect day to visit the fair! …not everybody looked happy though. I wonder why? LOL We visited the Democratic HQ; lots of smiles and activity.
There is a lot of water flowing though St. Paul, MN this weekend. The Mississippi River is now expected to crest at about 20 feet today or tomorrow, before it begins receding. We took a hike to see for ourselves. No biking for awhile:
Hmmm…plant expert needed! This delicate flower is blooming amidst a jumble of others from a packet of wildflower seeds. At first I thought it might be Cardinal Flower- but the leaf type doesn’t exactly match. Any thoughts WordPress friends?
