Maharaja’s, at 205 W7th St in St. Paul is, to quote a Beatles’s lyric, “like a magical mystery tour”. The jewelery and trinkets, black light poster shop, rock and roll memorabilia, East Indian art collection and sports gear (a nod to close proximity to the hockey arena) is a feast for all the senses…(including quite a collection of smoke paraphernalia!)
Maharaja’s has been ‘hip’ since opening its doors on the 4th of July, 1979, commemorating the day the man behind the concept, Kawaljit “Jit” Bhatia, came to the U.S.
