Living in Minnesota, I am far away from my nieces and nephews, all of whom are grown and live in Boston and the surrounding area. My great-nephew, Solomon, was born there just a month ago.
And so, to dear Solomon, and my family- and the people of Boston- and people all over the world who face such horror daily, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, love, love, Auntie Stina

I have been sick with bronchitis. One day, Vanity Fair arrived in the mail. Audrey Hepburn graced the cover; a book of photography will soon be published by her son, Luca Dotti.Over the past few days, I have watched Sabrina, War and Peace, A Nun’s Story and, Love in the Afternoon, with Gary Cooper. I can recommend the final scene as wonderful sinus therapy. Me: sobbing with a pile of napkins (tissues gone). Cats: “have we done something wrong?”
