Love, Dylan

Photography, seeking, writing…and learning along the way. Want to come along?!
Ah! The wonder of antibiotics and love… Bagheera is his usual self this morning after enjoying a sleeping bag slumber party in the living room last night. The medicine is working and he has managed to swipe ornaments and insert himself into the picture framing process- and it is barely 11 a.m. here!
We are SO happy!!

Bagheera is spending the afternoon at the day hospital. It seems he may have Feline Idiopathic Cystitis…
Certainly when the Vet palpated his bladder my poor baby cried out in a way I have never heard. Of course, I then shed a few tears and felt awful. Happily, he was given some pain medicine right away and will receive appropriate medication as soon as we are certain of the diagnosis. He will be home late tonight, forever more on a special diet. No more dry food. There will be jubilation in the household! Canned cat food! What luxury! How sublime! Dylan is already celebrating, seemingly unphased by his siblings absence..
I, on the other hand, cannot wait to go collect my sweet Bagheera.

Bagheera is not feeling well, so we will be making a trip to the vet…
This is his least favorite outing, but I hope it will be a simple visit (for both of us). I wish our felines could tell us, “it hurts here”, and point a paw…

Christmas Eve is the time when everyone gathers at Grandma’s house.
My partner and I are the instigators of the annual ‘gag gift’- this year, funny glasses and kazoos. I thought this grouping of nieces looked especially ‘cool’!
Although they surprise me every day..photos really would not count for the challenge this time. So I will simply post the latest of the darlings enjoying the porch with heat (yeah human mom!!)
Bagheera is pleased to have a starring role..

I love this challenge! Dashed off to grab the camera and do some “food styling”. I recently caught some grief from friends for cutting baked chocolate chip cookie dough in to holiday shapes. “Those aren’t Christmas cookies!” was the chorus of voices.
Hey, wait a minute, we LOVE chocolate chip cookies :)!

A few blog posts back I mentioned Practical Goods and Sophie Joe’s Emporium in St. Paul, MN. Our household is shopping local and vintage this year and today I stopped by Sophie Joe’s. I discovered a treasure trove of cool stuff.
My list:
1. 8 picture frames so the Esther-ettes swim group (also blogged about!) would each have a photo in a cool frame. Check!
2. Hostess gift(s). Check!
3. A few ornaments: a bag of 3 handmade sheep for a dollar. Check!
4. Two lovely scarves. Wow!
Oh and must mention, the cats “helped” organize…
A scene from yesterday!
